WHAT ARE DELF AND DALF?

The Diploma of French Language Studies (DELF) and the Advanced Diploma in French (DALF) are official diplomas delivered by the International Center of Pedagogical Studies in Sèvres (CIEP), operator of the French Ministry of Higher Education, to certify proficiency in French. 

These diplomas are internationally recognized and validate the command of four competencies: oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression and written expression.

Their validity is unlimited.

The DELF is divided into four diplomas, corresponding to the four levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Delf Scolaire

DELF scolaire and primaire are derived from DELF and DALF. This diploma is intended to the students of private and public schools in Jordan.

Written exams take place in educational institutions such as Terra Santa school in Amman, Collège du Rosaire in Irbid and Collège du Rosaire in Aqaba.

Oral exams take place at the French Institute and in schools.

TCF Canada

TCF-Canada (French Proficiency Test for immigration to Canada)

The TCF Canada is aimed at all individuals aged 16 years old and above, regardless of their nationality or mother tongue, who need to certify their level of French as part of the process of economic immigration to Canada or to obtain Canadian citizenship and, therefore, need to submit an application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The Test of French knowledge is developed by the International Center of Pedagogical Studies. It is a test of the French language level intended for non-francophone individuals who wish to evaluate and validate their knowledge of French in a simple, reliable and quick way; for professional, personal or educational reasons.

All candidates receive a certificate with their results and are positioned on one of the six levels (A1 to C2) of the competencies scales as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

TCF IRN

The TCF IRN is aimed at all foreign nationals over 16 years old who want to confirm their level of French in order to:

  • apply for French nationality;
  • apply for a long-term residence permit;
  • validate A1 level as part of the OFII citizenship process.

Your certificate « TCF candidates to the French nationality » is only valid for requests of French nationality through marriage or naturalization.
