Moebius A Collective Tribute
A Flight of Fantasy with Moebius (Jean Giraud)
If we were living in a science fiction fantasy world, uttering the name Moebius would shake the very pillars upon which this universe stands. Without Moebius, the pen name of French Comics Artist Jean Giraud, one of the mega superstars of Bandes dessinées, which is French for comics, we wouldn’t have enjoyed many of today’s comics and science fiction movies. We all have flown the vast landscapes of Moebius’ Arzach, run across the congested and merciless streets of The Incal, withstood the high noon heat with Blueberry, listened to his Jimi Hendrix portraitures come to life in our minds, and leafed in adoration through the visions and visuals – the concept art – he had created for Dune and Alien. This collective tribute is our way to reflect the love and gratitude we have for Jean Giraud and the unbound worlds and plethora of characters that he has created in an inspiring unforgettable lifetime.
